Allez, on commence une nouvelle année 2013 en allant fouiner sur la grande Toile, le coffre aux trésors, labyrinthe chronophage, inventé par un ami des collectionneurs maladifs. Aujourd’hui de belles gravures réalisées soit par Philip Grot Johann, soit par Robert Leinweber, tous les deux Allemands.

Très beau. La maison du bourreau ou le gibet (je ne sais pas de quel conte cette image est tirée) donne carrément envie d’inventer une histoire. (et me rappelle vaguement ton ”l’ile des morts” dans tes crobards qui me fait à peu près le même effet).
@Olivier R : moi c’est l’oeuvre de Moebius qui me fait cet effet :-) Je me rends compte que les images sont signées et qu’en fait, les deux artistes sont représentés ici.
Si ce n’est pas déjà fait, il faut que tu ailles à Orsay voir l’exposition l’Ange du bizarre consacrée au romantisme noir européen ; C’est taillé pour toi ! Beaucoup d’illustrateurs illustrement inconnus mais passionnants, principalement germaniques ou anglo-saxons, du XIXe. Un peu les racines de l’heroic fantasy.
@Pierre : tu fais bien de me le rappeler. J’avais oublié et j’ai justement un voyage à faire sur Paris. D’un autre côté, je m’ennuie tout seul au musée…
